Unseen message when recipient is online.

Recipient is online but the sent message remains unseen. Why is this happening?

This is a fairly common thing that can happen. Even if the person you are sending a message to is online, this doesn't mean that he/she is viewing the message. The 'seen' notification appears only after the person clicked on the message. If this is not happening then the notification is not going to appear.
