I am unable to delete two files from the sidebar in Finder. I sent the content of these files to Trash I am now unable to delete the files which are empty from the Sidebar (I am also unable to add content to the files.
Can someone please help?

If you hold down the command key click on the file and drag off the sidebar it should disappear in a puff of smoke

Or just right-click and delete it.

Maybe you can try uFlysoft Data Recovery for Mac, it can recover empty trash on Mac only in three steps:
