Every Mac application can be placed on the dock as a shortcut or folder. To do this, simply access Applications from Finder > Go then drag the app on the dock and that's it. If it's a plug-in for a specific program, docking isn't possible, but you can dock the entire app.
Additionally, you can place the Widget in the Dashboard mode to make it easier for access. You can find Dashboard on the Dock.
