Is there a version of the program compatible with Mac or I need to run it using a visualization application?

I am currently doing a PhD and I want to use NDP.view to analyze pathology images. However, I bought a Macbook two months ago, but it seems that NDP.view only runs on Windows systems. Is this correct? If it is, I am thinking about buying VMware Fusion 5 (Mac software that allows you to run Windows applications on your Mac computer). Does anyone knows if NDP.view runs on so called visualization programs?
