The app seems to work well on WiFi, but when I'm on the phone network sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. More often it doesn't. I sit at the same place each time and sometimes I can listen to an audio book and then the other day while listening to the same audio book it times out. Signal strength is 3 of 5 bars and is consistent from day to day. Why my listening time is so hit and miss?

Even if you have 3 of 5 bars, because of Internet fluctuations and instability you may encounter disconnection or issues related to mute sound. This is because of the buffer is you're listening to an online stream. Another possibility is that the server from where you listen to the audio does not have enough bandwidth to stream the file normally. There is actually nothing you can do except than to try to maintain a 5 bars connection.
