Does this software work with any bar code scanner?

I want to purchase Wasp CountIt to manage my inventory and assets. However, I am concerned that it may not work with my bar code scanner. I have a symbol MC70. Will this software read the batch data that is sent from this scanner?

This works with the WDT2200 device only. Any other product to try it on will not work because it wasn't designed to support other products.
