How can I convert to a format such as .ai or .tif?

When exporting a file as JPEG, it looks weird (not clear). How can I convert to a format such as .ai or .tif? I'm trying to get my artwork displayed on banners but print shop says I need vector art.

The easiest way is to use Photoshop to save the file to TIF format because Photoshop is known to work very good with this file format. To obtain an AI file, you need to import the previously saved TIF file and then use Live Tracing in Adobe Illustrator, for example, to obtain an AI file.
