It does not want to to launch from the desktop shortcut.

Question

When I click on my desktop shortcut, the program no longer launches. I get the pre-launch box appear (the one with "VERDI" in it and the childish picture of the coastline with the little boats) but nothing beyond that. If I right-click and then click on "open" four or five times it eventually launches, but it still takes ages.
I've uninstalled and re-installed the whole program, but no improvement - what's going on?

This is a problem related to the compatibility between the application and the operating system. Try to set the compatibility to Windows XP from the Compatibility tab. Alternatively, if you're using a different version of Windows other than XP, you might need to use Run as Administrator.
