Steam is not connecting.

I have recently downloaded the update from Steam and have tried to connect to play my game on 6 or 7 occasions this week, and although I can connect to the Forum or Support through the Internet, when I start to play a game that they have , it appears the following message: "Could not connect to Steam Network. May be due to problem with Internet connection, or with Steam Network."

Start Steam in offline mode by selecting this option on the error window. Make sure that you are connected to Internet then go to Steam > Go Online. Repeat this step and restart the computer then Steam will connect normally.
