In order to fix the issue, I suggest you download and install the update file from the official web page. Also, be sure that your operating system is Windows XP or below, because the software is not compatible with the latest Windows platforms. If this doesn't solve the problem, uninstall the application using its uninstaller or Add or Remove Programs feature and download and install the latest version from the HP Drivers & Software page.
