I have no sound and volume controls are missing.

I have no sound and volume controls are missing. Does anyone know how to get it back?

If you're missing controls then the sound card is not installed properly or it could be a bug of the software. In the latter case you should download a new version of the driver. If you're using an integrated sound card, drivers are found on the manufacturer's website.
