My computer indicates that Adobe Reader is installed, but when I attempt to download certain documents it does not recognize them and it tells me to download Adobe Reader. What can I do?

There might be some registry problems... Uninstall Adobe reader... Download REGSEEKER... Clean your registry... You can also use some other registry cleaning utility... Now Download Adobe Reader from its website... Reinstall... This will really help you but go in the order as I have shown...

In order to fix the issue, I suggest you upgrade Adobe Reader to the latest version. Navigate to the official web page, click the yellow Install now button, save the file to your computer and install it following the on-screen instructions. If you still have issues opening the PDF documents, I suggest you try Foxit Reader, Nuance PDF Reader, or SumatraPDF.
