HP Photosmart (Officejet 6310 All-in-one) question.

I don't see the HP Photosmart icon. I used to see the icon at the bottom bar when I used this machine as a scanner. How do I bring up scanning icon on the bottom bar?

If you cannot find the icon for the application but you know it's installed, then go to Start > All Programs > HP Software. You will find it in that location.
