Lack of the Pause key

Question

My keyboard does not have a Pause key (it's a Microsoft Arc keyboard). Is there another key I can use instead? I think I saw something about the Escape key.

You can use Mapkeyboard to reassign keys on your keyboard. Download and extract the archive and run the application. Click on a button, then select from the drop-down list the Break key. Click on Save layout and log off. When you log back in, the key you have pressed will be reassigned to Pause Break.
