Registered, activated, logged in. Now what?

I've registered, activated, and logged in, but the instructions refer to a window that doesn't appear. I'm prompted to download Software Informer Client, but that makes no sense. If I'm already registered to use the software, why do I now have to download it? All the other questions listed in my question search are for specific mobile devices, and I'm using a laptop, so they're of no help. How can I use informer?

You can use your Software Informer account to track your software applications using SI Client. The account allows you to ask questions, comment and have a personal page with friends, followers and most important - a list with all your installed software. For the windows to appear, it is a must that you need to install Client (Windows/Mac/Android).
