I am technologically challenged. I would like to know why my LG Droid phone came with certain Apps (such as YouTube, Maps, Latitude, Polaris Viewer, and others) pre-existing and I cannot delete them?
These applications are called in modern terms "bloatware". These apps can only be updated. Removal is not an option because these are embedded into the system's core. If you root your phone (voiding its warranty) you can then remove all the applications at your own risk.
