Do I need Validity DDK?

I have an HP Pavilion M7-1015DX Entertainment PC. I use it mostly for making music. I use Sony Creative Acid Pro 7 for my multi-track recording. I have a difficult time with my laptop's ability to play entire Acid mixed songs. There's a lot of skipping and unwanted noise once I get so far into the song. I thought that, if I uninstalled as many programs that I know that I don't need for music, some of these problems would disappear. I have found a couple of programs the importance of which I'm not sure. One is Validity DDK. I know it's got something to do with fingerprint recognition. I don't even use my Pad. It's not finger user friendly for me. The question I have is do I need to even have the Validity DDK program? Might it help if I remove it? Might other problems be created if I remove it?

Thanks in advance,
Michael Bonanno.

Validity DDK is just the fingerprint reader that you can use for the QuickLaunch software. If you don't use that application, you can uninstall it without damaging your Windows system. The problem with the audio is related to drivers, configuration and hardware. Please check the compatibility of all these three items because it indicates that there is an issue between them.
