I'm running Windows 7 Starter on the netbook (Emachines 355) and I'm trying to run Command & Conquer: Red Alert designed for Windows 95/98. I've played with the compatibility settings but can't get the graphics right. Any ideas, anyone?

The easiest way to run this application is to install the emulation software called DosBox. If you have installed the game, download and install DosBox and start it.

At first, you should mount the directory using this command: mount C:\ D:\Games\redalert where D:\Games\redalert is the path to your RedAlert installation. Use C:, then type the executable name and the game will run with mouse support, textures and everything that it's needed for smooth gameplay.
