My webcam shows a blank display

When I tried to open my webcam it shows nothing just a blank display. I reinstalled the driver software but still it is showing nothing. What should I do?

Please adjust the focus of the camera by spinning the focus wheel. During transportation or because of any other factor, the wheel spins and messes up focalization. It happens many times and users believe that there is something wrong with the camera.
