Is DeskPins compatible with Windows 8 operating system?

I have used this program for years and found it so useful, unfortunately it will not work with new pc and Windows 8.1

I'm running Windows 8.1. DeskPins works. Double-click the DeskPins icon to activate it. Right-click the DeskPins icon in the tray and select "enter pin mode." Then, hit Ctrl/F12 and it will pin the topmost tab. Rarely, the pin will show when you right-click the icon and you can drag it to the top of the current tab.

I'm using Deskpins 1.7a in Windows 8 (64 bit), using compatibility.
How:
* Right-click on the Deskpins shortcut in the Start Menu
* Left-click "Properties" at the bottom of the list
* Go to the "Compatibility" tab
* Put a checkmark in the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
* Left-click the down arrow under that box, and choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
* Left-click "OK"

Set compatibility to WinXPsp3 then use Ctrl+F12 - it works in Win8.1
