How to make my Windows drive read only to keep people away from copy and paste without my permission?

You will need to create another computer user for those people who work on your computer. The account needs to be Limited, then while you are logged in with your admin user, right click Windows drive, go to Security and uncheck Write from permissions. Restart your computer and that's it. Make sure you protect your admin account with a password.

Those files you want to protect you can make them read only.
