Tex-Edit file in Spanish for Mac is not accepted in Open Office (No accents, Ñ, etc.). What can I do?

The problem is with the encoding. Since Open Office has support for a wide range of languages and localisation I believe you are using a different font in Tex-Edit and while you're trying to open it in Open Office it shows an error message (no accents). I suggest you change the font in Tex-Edit to one that Open Office understands. You will see that this will solve your problem.
