I couldn't find anything that forbids you to use the MP3 with the French language courses. As long as the software allows you to load MP3 files, you can use them with any language you want. The key is to have a supported file, the rest doesn't matter. You can use everything you need as long as the MP3 is compatible with the software.
The term iofy doesn't appear in any of the searches I've conducted on the Google Search or other search engines.
