Some days ago my computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 10. After that I can't start Cakewalk Overture. My overture is old but it has worked fine until now. When I try to start I get a message saying that my computer can't find the file "OvMidi32.dll". What to do?

Typically, this issue can be fixed by reinstalling the Cakewalk Overture because its setup contains the missing DLL file.

To overcome the problem, right click the setup package and choose Run as Administrator, especially if you are on Windows 10. This setting will enable the installer to copy the missing files to the correct place thus enabling functionality. I think this is the simplest and best way to fix this problem.

Also, apply a compatibility setting to the main installer and program's executable file. Right click it, choose Properties > Compatibility and choose a version of Windows from the list, preferably before Windows 8.1.
