The autorun is already started.

Question

I place a CD to my computer and it displays the autorun menu. When I hit autorun it gives a message that it is already running.

If you get the message that autorun starts, then press CTRL + Shift + Escape and locate it in the Processes list. Turn it off, then go to Computer and right click your drive with the CD. Choose Explore, then start the Autorun again or simply browse through the contents. Start the application you want without using the autorun, in case it shows any more errors.
