Windows 10 compatibility for ProDisc.

I upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to 10 Pro. My system still sees my Sony PDW-F70, but won't access my XD-Cam discs when I insert them. I currently have ProDiscx64 on the system, which I installed in Sept of 2012. Should ProDiscx64 work with Windows 10 Pro?

Never mind; I uninstalled Power DVD and reinstalled the Sony software and all is well now.

The XDCam Software is available only for these versions of Windows:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 or higher
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64bit/32bit) Service Pack 1 or higher
  • Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit/32bit) Service Pack 1 or higher
  • Microsoft Windows 8 Pro (64bit/32bit)
  • Microsoft Windows 8.1

You are lucky that it works in Windows 10 because sometimes you need a compatibility add-on or patch.
