ZEHRaster and HP DesignJet 800.

I have used ZEHRaster for many years with my HP DesignJet 800. I now use a Windows 7 64-bit computer and cannot run the ZEHRaster software any longer. I can print to the HP DesignJet 800 without the software so I believe the connection is OK. When I run the software with a JPEG file I get two errors:

  1. Print: An error occurred generating intermediate processing files
  2. Preview: Unable to open file type previewer

Any information you can provide me, I will appreciate it. I would like to either fix a setting or download new software. But we need to use the functionality of ZEHRaster or some other similar program.

Thank you.

The ZEHRaster Plus is a very old application. Based on the search queries, I have found that it was designed to run on Windows NT or higher, but no higher than Windows Vista. The problem you have is directly related to its compatibility. The 64bit system architecture is different. Beside that, the software requires an update, and HP website doesn't provide any data about it.

Right-click and go to Properties > Compatibility. Choose the oldest version of Windows listed there and then run the software.
