The simplest and recommend way to fix this issue is by switching between front and back camera a couple of times. This will clear the issue you're having. If you still encounter problems even with the mentioned solution, try reinstalling the app and then repeat the procedure. After a couple of times switching, the camera should return to normal and you will be able to save pictures normally.
