I have downloaded and installed ScannerLive application as well. When I started it from the desktop, it said to register. On the official website, there is a purchase button for PayPal. This means you will have to pay for the application in order to register. Once you pay, an email will be sent to your address with the login info. Use that login info and go to System Setup > Registration.
