I have username problems. What can I do?

I recently deleted my Snapchat account because of the fact that I wanted a new username. But, after some time, I had decided that I actually really liked my username and tried to create a new account with that same username. After typing in the username Snapchat says that it's currently unavailable. Why is this? The username isn't already taken, the account that the username was associated with was deleted.

If you create a username and then delete it, this username won't be available for registration any more. This is the company's policy, and there is no way to change it. Unfortunately, you will have to create another account with a different username. Once the username/account has been deleted, there is no way to recover it or use the available recovery options.

how long will it take to be currently unavailable because i want the username really bad

I was trying to create an account and added a user name which was available. Then in the next page I closed the registration process without adding a new email. Now when I try to register with the same username, it says that the username is not available. I didn't complete creating the account. Hope they will remove this cached temp account after sometime.
