I want to do the analysis of an differential axle. The axle components are represented by rigid body structures. Elasticities are modeled at the connection points (rubber mounts) and now I want to replace all the rigid parts by flexible parts and do the dynamic analysis. As far as I know, to create flexible bodies, I should adopt the folling method:
- Create geometry in adams flex.
- Mesh it.
- Input properties details.
- Create interfacing nodes (using Rich Body Elements).
- Modal analysis.
- Save as .mnf and import as per the regular procedure.
Now I am facing problems with the 4th and 5th steps. I just don't know what exactly modal analysis is? How to do a modal analysis and how to determine what frequency should I give input? Also what are all the places where we have to provide interfacing modes?
