You will need to install the corresponding software and drivers, unless you have already done it. Access the support page and download the combo package. Install it and follow the instructions when they're presented to you. After this process, lift the scanner's cover and place a document. Open Solution Center > Click on Scan Picture and you should be prompted to save the scan to a compatible file type or you can press the SCAN button on the device and the software will automatically start if it's connected to PC.
