Yes, you can use either left or right orientation when flipping. Load or create your book then use the menu on the left to customize it. Click the button under the first tab to select the layout then adjust the settings to make it open from left to right. I have tested the application and it works correctly. This is the only option you need to set for the book for have the desired effect.
