The most common cause for this error is directly related to compatibility of the drivers. If there are no drivers for Windows 8, access the storage drive in Computer and right click it. Select Explore and right click the installation package. Go to Properties > Compatibility and select Windows XP Service Pack 3. Install the software, reboot the computer and then go to Device manager (Start > Run > devmgmt.msc). Right click the modem, select Update Driver and point the installer in the installation folder located in Program Files. Wait for its installation, reboot the computer again and it should work.
