To hard reset the phone, turn if off and then press Volume Up + Home button + Power button until the phone vibrates then use Volume buttons to select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Power to confirm. Reboot the phone and you will have access to it. However, your applications and custom settings will be wiped. The internal storage will remain untouched. This means that if you had pictures or media files, they are safe and you can access them.
