Last activity on WeChat.

How does it tell if users are active on WeChat or when they were last time active? Can you tell me when they updated their profile picture and status?

The application doesn't say the exact activity of a user. Like many chat applications released for mobile platforms, it does, however, display the usual "Last seen at X.XXam" but no other information is provided. Besides, time information it also tells you if the user is online or offline.
