How can I install E-Z Contractors Forms CD from 1997 on Windows 8.1?

The application is not developed to run on your computer, but you can try to install it using the Compatibility Mode. Right click on the installer, select Properties and go to the Compatibility tab. Check Run this program in compatibility mode for box and select a compatible operating system from the drop-down list. Click Apply an then OK. After that, right click again on the installation package and select Run as Administrator.

My computer crashed and have purchased another one with Windows 7. Have been trying to download, figure out, this deal for about a week now. I have tried this and it doesn't seem to work. I have Windows 7. It asks, in compatibility, which pack was it working on previously? I wasn't sure, pressed the don't know button, and it automatically went to Vista service pack 2. I tried it. Didn't work. I changed it to Windows 7. Didn't work. I'm running out of options. It would be so much "easier" if EZ would work with me and send me a current download.
