AutoCAD supports the following file formats: 3DS, DWF, DWG, DWS, DWT, DXF, PLT, and SAT. These are marked as being the READABLE formats supported by this application. You will have to export the map data to one of these formats and then you should be able to import it back to AutoCAD. Most applications can use the DWG (AutoCAD default format) to embed other elements as well. It all depends on the application used to export that file.
