If your camera isn't automatically detected by the OS, you need to download the driver for your device. To do this, visit the manufacturer's support website, search for your product and download the compatible driver for Windows 8. If you can't find a compatible driver, connect your device to the computer, and go to Start > Control Panel > Device Manager, right click on the item with the yellow exclamation mark and select Update driver. By doing this, the computer will automatically search the Internet for a compatible firmware / driver that can be used with the selected device.
