I constantly need to e-mail sensitive documents that I need to encrypt and then allow someone else to access and sometimes edit. Would Folder Lock be a good program for this?

No, the application does not offer this possibility. The easiest way to do this is to archive the contents and assign a password. You can use WinRAR. The password should be something hard to crack, for example: qwD%g$#87L.
