Google Play Store does not detect WiFi connection.

My Google Play and all Google applications say that a network connection is needed although my WiFi is connected and working.

Try to clear the cache and the data of the application then attach another account to your phone. Alternatively, check the Internet source so that there is link connectivity. You can clear cache and data from the Application Manager found in the Settings menu.
