Importing pictures from camera to computer.

I am having trouble importing pictures from my Sony camera to my computer directly, with Photo Explosion Deluxe. I don't want to insert my memory card into my computer. I only want to hook up the camera to a computer via cable and transfer. Is this a simple process with the program?

Sometimes the application will only detect internal storage and when it's connected to PC, it is available as a drive in My Computer. If the camera does not have this optio, then the only way to browse its content is by attaching the card to a computer.
