The apps you are installing need to have the SD card support and once an application has this support, it will automatically install on the external storage. There is no way to install to the SD card if you don't have a custom ROM with advanced features. Stock firmware does not offer this possibility.
Please notice that many applications don't function properly if they are installed on the external storage.
