I had to reformat my X201 laptop and previously Access Connections was managing my wireless connections and I liked that feature. Now it looks like Windows 7 is managing the connections and I am not sure how to switch this back. Can someone provide instructions?

Install the application again and in its configuration menus, you will find another option so that the application takes over the configuration part. This feature is in every application of this kind. However, it's recommended to clear all the AC and Windows profiles, then use Access Connections and connect to networks and it will function normally.
