I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the player. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and click Turn Windows Features On or Off. In the pop-up window that will appear click the + sign next to Media Features and uncheck the box next to Windows Media Player. After that, follow the provided steps and the application will no longer be available on your PC. In order to reinstall it, restart your computer and using administrative privileges go again to Turn Windows Features On or Off, check the box next to Windows Media Player and follow the onscreen instructions. Also, if you want to download and install a new skin for your player, I recommend you to use an official one from Microsoft website. Be sure to apply it following the instructions from the official web page.
