I bought a laptop with the product key attached on a sticker found on its back side. When I try to load the product key to use Microsoft Office 2010, it refuses to accept it. Why did Microsoft Office 2010 refuse the product key?

The product key found on the attached sticker on the back of your laptop is for your operating system, not for Microsoft Office Suite. On your laptop you have a trial version of Microsoft Office 2010 pre-installed. Usually this trial period ends after 60 days. If you want to continue using the Microsoft Office programs after this period, you will have to buy the Microsoft Office Suite.
