I've installed everything. All I get is "There is no camera connected to this computer". The camera's light comes on momentarily, but it asks me every time to install the driver software. I installed it, but the problem persists. Can you help?

OK... This is what causes the message "there is no camera connected to this computer"...

You must make sure that you have the lifecam microphone enabled... Even if you will be recording from a line in or other source, you must have the webcam mic enabled.. You can put the webcam mic volume at -0- and still use another recording source... Do this and your software will not give you the error message anymore..

If your webcam is not recognized by your computer or Microsoft LifeCam, press Windows + R key combination, type devmgmt.msc and click OK. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers and Imaging devices lists, right-click on the webcam driver and select Update Driver Software. Use the Browse option to navigate to the installation package, select the driver and install it following the on-screen instructions. This should fix it. If you don't have the installation package for your webcam or if this doesn't solve the problem, I suggest you contact Microsoft. Also, if you want, you can try another webcam capture utility from Software Informer database.
