What is QUALCOMM Atheros Smartnet having "asav.exe" as executable?

The files is used by the network controller to provide network connectivity and functionality. If you delete this file, it's most likely possible that your network may be affected. I suggest you keep it for the good functionality of your computer and Internet.

Used by Dell for their Wireless network adapters. I would not remove the file as it provides multi-stream MIMO. Kewl...

802.11n Description

The 802.11n standard was created to allow higher connection speeds than 802.11g. It supports multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) streams of data.

Up to 4 streams of data can be used at the same time. Each stream of data added increases the throughput (speed) of the connection, for more information refer to 802.11n Data Rates.
