One of the ways to remove a photo or anything else from your Dropbox account is to install the client. Once you install it and log in, the client will automatically synchronize with your account and it will retrieve all the files and everything from your account. The client will ask you where to save the synchronization folder from where you can perform any action you want like file removal. Another way is to visit the website and delete the photo from your account.

Just log in to your Dropbox account in any browser, right-click on your photo, and select Delete. If you're not sure which one you need to delete, you can view your photos in the same browser.

So, 3 steps in total:

  • Go to dropbox.com.
  • Delete.

Installing the Dropbox client is certainly not easier, because the process goes something like this:

  • Go to dropbox.com.
  • Download the client.
  • Install the client.
  • Pick the synchronisation folder.
  • Wait whilst Dropbox downloads the entire contents of your cloud storage to that folder.
  • Remove the file from the synchronisation folder.
  • Synchronise Dropbox - whereby it deletes the photo on your cloud storage.

8 steps in total. Actually, the whole idea of downloading a file in order to delete it sounds completely bonkers to me.

if you want to delete all photos in dropbox, press command A (select all) and right click delete.
