Can I do a hard reset of my UMX Max phone?

I can't get past the android screen. All it does is loop. I took it back to the store but due to a small crack in the screen, they wouldn't give me a replacement. The phone worked fine for 9 days before it decided to act up. Is there anyway that I can either reload the Android operating system or do a hard reset of the device through my PC?

Any help would be appreciated. I really can't afford a new phone.

I discovered that I needed to hold down the volume UP button and power to get to the reboot screen on my UMX phone.

If the battery runs to zero, try holding down the power button after it has recharged.

My phone would randomly turn off and on and finally it wouldnt turn on. i took out the sim card and the battery an plugged in a usb cable to try and trouble shoot the device. it turned and stayed on im in the process of backing up my data via wifi and if all else fails im going to do the dreaded factory reset. good luck

This is a crappy phone. It's not 5ghz so it can't connect to any Xfinity hotspot. Can't run YouTube in mini view while using other apps. Calls are dropped and texts often come late. The only good things about it are that the headphone volume is loud (although the speaker volume is low, go figure) and it's free through assurance wireless. But you definitely get what you pay for. Had it for approximately 3 months and already it has fizzled out. What's completely bizarre is that when it died, it was completely charged and I had looked at the phone to check for texts just 5 minutes prior. Tried the hard reset. Nope, no response!! How does that happen unless it's poorly manufactured or more alarmingly, suffered from some kind of remote cyber attack? This is the 4th phone that I've had that malfunctioned in the same location. It's borderline conspiratorial, but it's certainly possible with location technology and hidden, remote apps. And here I was initially happy that it came with a removable battery. But something tells me even a replacement battery won't make it work. It likely was refurbished, although supposedly new, and returned by another customer due to malfunction. This is why I don't bother returning damaged phones. It's a huge privacy risk. How do I know these companies don't use faulty devices as a ploy to collect information from consumers that they can't get from cookies?

The exact same thing just happened to me.  I rely on this phone.  It just stopped working.  Their response, through Facebook, over and over is: call Customer Support.  My warranty just ran out, funny enough.
I always knew it was a pos but I really need a phone and can't get one for 2 more weeks  I also tried the hard reset which did not work.  Now I get the Blue "Hi There" screen and can't do anything with it.

very crappy phone,it turned off and never turned back on. I did everything I could to fix it but no luck. I do not think this phone is good, I don't think you should buy. just buy an iphone don't waste your money and time at all.

Maybe this will help someone, but mine wouldn't turn on either. What worked for me is I took out the sim and battery for 10 mins, did the hard reset method by holding down power for 15 seconds, then power+voume up for 15 seconds, volume+up+down for 15 seconds, and volume up+down for 15 seconds. My theory was to remove any remaining electricity in the motherboard. This worked, and battery showed 100% power when booted.

The combination of buttons was probably an excess of combinations, but might as well try all in one go and see what happens. Not once did I have a charger/cable connected except the night prior when I left it charging all night, and woke up to a dead phone.
